Before you have an opportunity to dive into this 75 minute podcast, I wanted to express gratitude toward Dr. Chris Leib. Last year I had the idea to create a “League of Extraordinary Therapists” for the greater good of the MFP community. My goal was to collaborate with local physical therapists who were like-minded with their approach to how we can serve others to become their best selves!

Chris and I continue to discover that we have so much in common when we bring our minds together. It was an honor and amazing opportunity to catch up with Chris about what I have been up to recently. For those who have been curious about the “The MADness in Marco’s Mind”, check out the podcast link below via YouTube or Apple podcast. Don’t forget to subscribe and show Chris some love!

About the Episode

This week, I’m joined by movement professional, Marco Dapkey.

Marco is the owner of Crossfit MFP in Havertown Township, PA. A few of his impressive credentials include:

-B.S. in Exercise Science from West Chester University

-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA

-CrossFit Level 3 Trainer certification (CFFT)

-A multiple-time Crossfit Regionals athlete

-U.S.A.W. Sports Performance Level 1

Marco also has extensive experience in the fields of mindfulness and contemplative studies where he practices as a facilitator in Transpersonal Breathwork, Plant Medicine, and Holistic services.

In line with these practices, Marco has recently co-founded The Infinite Center: Whole Being Perspective. This center facilitates workshops and retreats that help participants discover their best selves through a whole-being perspective.

Marco is one of the most versatile movement professionals I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is an absolute beast of an athlete, hands down one of the best in the area. But possibly more impressive is his dedication as a teacher, and facilitator of well-being. Any stereotypes that you hold regarding Crossfit athletes and Crossfit communities, as well as the practice of mindfulness and holistic services, are squashed as you get to know Marco. He is a dude to emulate in every way and I’m honored to have him on the podcast.

Topics we cover include:

1. Common misconceptions regarding Crossfit

2. Biggest lessons learned thus far

3. Common errors among other health and fitness professionals

4. Exciting future endeavors and advances in the realms of mindfulness, plant medicine, and contemplative studies?
